21st Century Fluency or the 4C's Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity.
My skills have been built up over years of professional work experience as well as research and simple observation. I have a great balance between industry-specific skills and soft skills, which means I have what it takes to do brilliant work and make a contribution to any team.
More specifically, I have analyzed and interpreted data (EQAO/CAT IV/OSSLT ) scores and have presented at annual SLIP meetings both at the local school and Board level.
Chaired many SIT Team committees (School Improvement Teams). Here I learned the importance of colloboration and teamwork in order to provide teachers with the best resources possible in order to close the gap, improvement student achievement and the overall culture of Catholic education.

CURRICULUM
My areas of expertise include curriculum development, review and implementation (CDRI).
I was fortunate to be part of a team of principals and teachers who came up with a resource guide for teachers in producing a document called, Writing Anecdotal Comments and published a book on Teaching Learning and Critical pathways.
In 2021, we created a FFM (FFM) Fresh Food Market. Students took a leadership role in operating all aspects of
a grocery store including price and product management, set up of the store, stocking shelves and providing
customer service. The store was in operation for 2 years (2020 to 2022). We began operating the FFM store
during COVID-19 (see photos). All the precautionary measures were taken including wearing hasmat suits etc. Students
benefitted from the program because they were able to further enhance their Finanacial Literacy skills by operating
a grocery store on a daily basis. The FFM store earned an Innovative Exemplary award with TCDSB in 2021.
PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
The Value of Catholic Education
No tasks are more important in society than the education of our children. Keeping in mind that “it takes a community to raise a child”, the role of a teacher is a crucial one. In partnership with parents, and staff, I believe that it is important for Catholic educators to recognize the important role that each stakeholder plays in the development of the spiritual, emotional, social and physical well being of our students.
Emphasis is placed on self-respect for oneself and for others while encouraging acts of kindness and a duty in serving others. As an educator in a Catholic system, I model Catholic education in daily encounters with others; display passion, a strong commitment to Catholic education; and encourages diversity. In this light, I believe that in the role of an educator, one is called to lead by “word” and “deed”.
As a Catholic educator, I believe that parents play a crucial role in the development of their children by instilling Gospel values and supporting the value and importance that we place on Catholic education. I believe that parents must encourage their children to grow in faith by enriching their children’s spiritual life experiences with regular attendance and active involvement within the community, and at school. Studies show that a child’s successful education is positively correlated to a parent’s direct involvement with their learning. Advocating the Success for All philosophy in partnership with parents and staff, the principal or teacher leader facilitates effective, open dialogue, bringing together diverse groups to achieve cooperative initiatives for the betterment and improvement of Catholic education for all. As an administrative member on the School Advisory Council, I provide encouragement, support, and celebrates the joint efforts of parents and teachers in their efforts to provide a rewarding Catholic education experience, whether the contribution is in the form of time, talent, resources, effort, or money.
Teachers and support staff play a crucial role in the development of children. Entrusted in our care, I believe that the a Catholic educator works in collaboration with parents ensure that every child is provided an excellent Catholic education within the context of a safe school environment; one in which fosters and promotes every child toward achieving their personal best, in a climate of mutual respect. I believe that the educators focuses on the individual child and demonstrates empathy and understanding for the development of the exceptional child. I believe that a Catholic school education prepares students to meet the professional challenges of tomorrow with social and spiritual minds and hearts. In recognizing the special call to community, I believe that the role of a Catholic teacher or educational leader is to honor, celebrate and promote public education within the school and to encourage opportunities where students can share openly their diversity.
